Veloce // Fuel respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

Account data (optional): If you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or payment information directly — billing is handled by our payment processor.

Fueling data: Race plans, body weight, sweat rate, carb targets, and custom products are stored locally on your device (browser localStorage) by default. They are only synced to our servers if you explicitly create an account and enable cloud storage.

Usage data: We collect anonymised analytics (page views, feature usage, crash reports) to improve the App. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

Device data: Browser type, operating system, screen size, and IP address (anonymised where possible) for security and debugging purposes.

• To operate and maintain the App and its features
• To process subscriptions and billing (via third-party payment processors)
• To send service-related notifications (e.g., billing reminders, security alerts)
• To analyse usage patterns and improve product functionality
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

The App uses browser localStorage to save your preferences and fueling plans when you are not logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Any analytics cookies we deploy are strictly for product improvement and are anonymised.

You may clear localStorage at any time via your browser settings. Doing so will remove any unsaved plans from your device.

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the App:

• Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Paddle) — for subscription billing
• Hosting / database providers — for secure data storage
• Analytics platforms — for anonymised usage metrics

All third parties are contractually bound to use your data only for the purposes of providing services to us and are required to maintain appropriate security measures.

We may also disclose data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Account data and cloud-synced plans are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Local-only data (stored in your browser) persists until you clear your browser storage or uninstall the App from your device.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data
• Restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing)

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Our servers are located within the European Union. If we ever need to transfer data outside the EEA, we will ensure adequate safeguards are in place (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision.
